single-event recaps

In many ways, this assignment is like the in-class press release, but you'll have the benefit of knowing the sport you're writing about and can therefore do some research before filing the story.

Single-event recaps should be filed (submitted to @LeighDillard via DM on Slack) within two hours of the completion of the event. These brief news stories should include the following:

• 400-500 words
• a clear lede and nut graf
• pertinent quotations, properly attributed
• a dateline

If you attended the event in person, consider also sending a photo (with caption). It's helpful but not essential.
