single-game notes

While much information created by sports information departments is distributed electronically, anyone who attends a sporting event knows that there are still print materials available that give spectators and media alike pertinent details about the matchup.

The single-game notes assignment will be a single 8.5x11 page (double-sided optional), providing information for a head-to-head matchup between two teams.

Analyze the content and style of these MBB notes for one of UGA's games, to get a sense of the kind of content you might need to include. Your packet will be much smaller, but this is a good model.

Follow these steps to complete this assignment:
  • Select a two-team matchup some time in the future.
  • Gather information on those two teams. What kinds of information will you include?
  • Decide which perspective you will take -- are you offering information on behalf of the home or the visitor?
  • Design your information to fit on a single page (double-sided optional). Use document design concepts to effectively convey your information without burdening the viewer with big blocks of text.
  • Save the document as a pdf and upload it to the assignment space in D2L before the deadline.
